The Christina Riverfront
This bank built ships in the Second World War, then fell to a polluted brownfield by the 1970s. A state effort begun in 1995 turned it into a Riverwalk of stadiums, museums, and a wildlife refuge. A new mixed-use phase is extending it east. The riverfront is Wilmington's clearest before-and-after, long before we add a slider.
