Old Swedes (Holy Trinity) Church
Built in 1698 and 1699 from Delaware blue granite, Old Swedes is one of the oldest church buildings in the United States still in regular use. Its black-walnut pulpit is among the oldest in the country. The burial ground around it holds generations of Wilmington, free and enslaved, recorded together as early as 1715.
