The Grand Opera House
Opened in 1871 as a Masonic Hall and Opera House. Its cast-iron facade in the Second Empire style is the finest in Delaware, set with Masonic imagery. A careful restoration in the mid-1970s recast the upper story from old photographs. Today The Grand anchors Market Street and hosts the symphony, opera, and ballet.
